A) Print-Rite Charity Foundation Limited-Thailand Print-Rite Charity Foundation Limited (Print-Rite or the Charity) was founded in 1999 aiming to arise the public awareness for environmental protection (Green Recycle Campaign) and to help in school rebuilding projects. The Charity is operated through its Executive Committee, being served by volunteers made up of businessmen and professionals. Print-Rite Charity has been established to advance education, encourage public awareness abot the importance of conserving the world resources and our natural environment, promote public health hygiene and the relief of victims of disasters. Thus far, Print-Rite Charity has laid great emphasis on rebuilding elementary schools in hilly and remote parts of Mainland China and by the end of 2005, rebuilt 38 schools, providing approx. 14,500 students a better and safer place to study. The Charity has also promoted a used cartridge recycling program in Hong Kong which helped to reduce 7,500 cubic meters of waste in the past few years. The Charity has also made donations to support other charitable organizations and supported the research on the SARS virus by the Chinese University of Hong Kong. PitayaSuwan Foundation/Greenway Thailand and the Print Rite Charity Foundation Limited started to cooperate after the 2004 Tsunami. They identified 45 children in the Ranong area and decided to financially support part of their educational path. In order to monitor the impact of the project and to follow up the educational growth of the 45 Children, the project partners created an on line database where all the founders and the supporters of the project can access reports and specific information about each child. In order to follow the personal and educational development of the children, PitayaSuwan Foundation - Greenway Thailand and Print-Rite Charity Foundation have created a database containing all the information about the beneficiaries and their growth. On a regular basis the management of the project, visit the children and update the information. The visits allow us to better target our intervention and also to keep a clear track of the project and its impact. B) Education Support in Cambodia |
