What we expect from you
- Please, have a sense of the needs of your host community and participate in all of your group's activities
- You will have an influence on the local villagers, especially on the children, so please make a conscious effort to be responsible and to present the best features of your character and native culture
- Cultural differences may sometimes cause misunderstandings, please try reserving judgment, be forgiving, and make an effort to understand a person who doesn't act the way you'd expect them to do
- Please give voice to your opinions, especially during camp meetings, it's important to share your ideas. Positive change can't be made if you keep silent. When doing see, speak calmly and clearly, criticism is positive if addressed in a constructive way.
- Please join the daily tasks, take on your responsibilities everyday and respect he camp rules (no alcohol, culturally sensitive way of dressing etc..)
- Please keep in mind that the schedule is provisional and the activities may vary according to the weather.
- Should you have any disagreement with other volunteers, please take some time to think over the matter before reacting and, if you feel it, talk about it to your camp leader, s/he will try to help you to find a solution
- Please, be polite in every situation.
