Samraong schools- Rural school development

OBJECTIVE

To help the environment at which the children of the future learn.

DESCRIPTION

Greenway Cambodia teaches at multiple schools in the small town of Samrong. Early 2008, Greenway decided to start up several volunteering projects in the Northern Cambodian countryside working with local and international NGOs as well as the provincial government of Oddar Meanchey. In cooperation with the provincial education department, Greenway has started working in local schools in Samrong, the capital of Oddar Meanchey, and in the surrounding villages. Considering the state of the school buildings, volunteers are not only engaged in basic teaching activities, but also in the basic renovation of the school.

LOCATION

The Location of the school renovation will be in Samrong. Samoang is the capital city of Oddar Manchey, a rural province of Cambodia, used in ancient times as a base by the Khmer Rouge.
